We're inviting New Yorkers to donate their unwanted jeans for a special denim installation during our New York Fashion Week presentation on 14 September 2026.
But before you donate your jeans…
Please take a moment to ask yourself: why don't you wear them anymore?
Are they torn? Too big? Too small? Or have they simply fallen out of favour?
When we founded Story Wear, we were surprised to discover that denim, one of the most durable fabrics ever created, is also among the most commonly discarded clothing items in Taiwan. That realisation became one of the reasons we dedicated ourselves to upcycling denim and giving it a second life.
As denim lovers, we have always believed that a great pair of jeans deserves more than a trip to landfill. Denim is more than just a fabric. It creates and carries memories, stories and traces of the people who wear it. It is, and always will be, the heart of Story Wear.
This September, your old jeans can become part of something extraordinary.
The denim donated for our New York Fashion Week installation will travel back with us to Taiwan, where it will be transformed into new apparel and accessories as part of our 2027 New Yorkers' Collection.
From the streets of New York to the ateliers of Taiwan, your jeans will continue their journey, proving that fashion's story does not have to end when we stop wearing it.
