Story Wear is a pioneering sustainable fashion brand from Taiwan, committed to redefining style through upcycling, circular design, and responsible production.
At the heart of our work is the transformation of textile waste - discarded denim, deadstock fabrics, and surplus materials - into thoughtfully designed garments with renewed purpose. By giving existing materials a second life, we challenge the conventions of fast fashion and prove that sustainability and style can co-exist beautifully.
Each Story Wear garment is meticulously handmade by skilled tailors and artisans, celebrating Taiwanese craftsmanship. Renowned for our innovative approach to pattern making, we treat every fabric as a canvas - cut, reconstructed, and refined with precision and care. No two pieces are exactly alike, making each creation truly one of a kind.
As a social enterprise, we are deeply committed to creating positive social impact by providing meaningful employment and skill development opportunities, particularly to marginalised communities. Through conscious design and ethical production, we strive to build a fashion ecosystem that values people as much as the planet.
Story Wear Impact Report
Story Wear’s annual impact report transparently documents the environmental and social outcomes of our circular fashion model over the past year, and tracks three key areas of impact:
- Waste: the amount of waste fabric upcycled and diverted from landfill;
- Water: the estimated water saved by upcycling existing materials instead of producing new fabric; and
- Community: the income generated for marginalised communities involved in our production process.
In parallel, House of Story Wear, our multi-brand retail store in Taipei, publishes its own annual impact report focused on the wider ecosystem we support. This report highlights how we enable and platform brands aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through retail, programming, and collaboration.
We track the number of SDG‑aligned brands supported, the themes and goals addressed through our curation and events, and the economic opportunities generated for purpose‑driven businesses.
Together, these metrics reflect our commitment to reducing fashion’s footprint while creating meaningful, inclusive economic opportunities.
