Yosifu Collab Shirt
DESCRIPTION
Created in collaboration with contemporary Indigenous artist Yosifu, this piece is inspired by his artwork “Tengilen ko soni no riyar” (Listening to the Voice of the Ocean), a title expressed in the Amis language. The artwork’s imagery and cultural narrative are reinterpreted through fashion, transforming its visual language into a wearable form.
Using an intricate cutwork technique, the design translates the artwork's details into layered textile expression. Reclaimed denim, with its natural fading and unique textures, is carefully assembled to create varying shades of blue that echo the movement, depth, and rhythm of the ocean.
The shirt features an oversized dolman-sleeve silhouette with a soft drape, offering both comfort and an artistic presence. Designed for all genders, it embodies an effortless and expressive style that bridges contemporary art and everyday wear.
Thoughtfully engineered with button closures at both the front and back, the garment can be styled in multiple ways, allowing the wearer to transform its shape and create a variety of silhouettes and styling possibilities.
